Vision Care:
Proper eyecare is imperatieve for success and enjoyment in all aspects of life. Recognizing and correcting vision difficulties while an infant / toddler can help prevent conditions such as a lazy eye(amblyopia), learning disorders, and limitations on career choice. Annual eye assessments are recommended for Children (up to age 18 yrs) and Seniors (65yrs+). Often, children do not complain of poor vision. This may result from not having had good vision to compare with. Vision can deteriorate over time - stressing the importance of having regular vision assessments for all ages. Contact lenses, being in constant contact with the front surface of the eye, affect their health. Contact lens wearers, especially, those with high corrections should have annual ocular health assessments. Adults (19 - 64 yrs) should have regular assessments 1 - 2 years. Routine vision assessment can detect early signs of many systemic disorders such as vascular diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma & other inflammatory conditions. Nutrition has a huge impact on health and subsequently on vision.
